Massage therapy and Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is approaching! But, unfortunately, this party has become so commercial that we lose all its meaning and origin: The couple!

The couple is the basis of human relations. The couple represents, for me, the base; it is the pillar of the human foundation. In my humble opinion, if all couple relationships went well, the children would live in fullness and harmony.

And when I say "all right," I don't mean where everything is perfect, and the man does everything in the house and picks up his laundry without even going to ask him and would bring us a bouquet of roses every week. Or that the woman never raises her voice because she is gentle and loving, and above all, never upset! Nope! Let's not exaggerate, though! Of course, everyone is entitled to these reactions and their "little faults." But, aren't we on Earth to evolve? And help each other grow together?

But I'm not here to lecture you on anything. I just wanted to talk to you about couples massage. I'm the one who thinks that everyone needs a sincere and healthy touch, even the surliest ones. Especially the most off-putting ones!

Couples massage

Not the one we call the duo massage, where we receive the treatment both together in the same room, but the couple massage workshop!

Why?

I have been a massage therapist for nine years now. And despite having studied in a very Cartesian and down-to-earth school. Or, as you might say, very biomechanical. I have a side developed with practice, which is quite intuitive. For example, I realized that the body talks a lot! It's surprising to see how the non-verbal speaks softly, calmly, without rushing, nonchalantly...

So, for about six years, I have set up a couple's massage workshop that I love to lead!

The workshop is to be dissected as follows:

  • The first part concerns anatomy. Then, a short time of palpation and observation to locate the bones and the muscles. Tighter regions or areas of compensation.
  • I then demonstrate the maneuvers to one of the people to then be able to exchange. The giver becomes the receiver and vice versa.
  • The couple massage workshop has several benefits. First, for yourself and your spouse:
  • Massage is an excellent technique to learn how to discover yourself and discover your spouse.
  • It helps to increase self-esteem through this unique bond you can develop with him (her) during the workshop and by learning a reassuring and beneficial touch.
  • It's a moment when you can take the time to linger on the other. A downtime.
  • It's a moment that happens in respect, in listening.

Having led these workshops for a few years, I am always surprised to see how the couples' closeness is felt as the workshop progresses.
